Today Asigra released a neat free software, a snap manager for AWS.
If you are like me, one of those guys who use AWS snapshots just to make copies before doing updates or backups of (few) VM instances and blames Amazon all the time for the hopeless UI. Well, you’ll probably like this.
It’s the 1.0 version, so I hope that additional features will be implemented in time (as well as the Linux/Mac version that can run on my laptop… 🙂 )
But it’s free (except the EC2 instance you need to run it) and I think it is worth a try.
If you want to know more about this topic, I’ll be presenting at next TECHunplugged conference in London on 12/5/16. A one day event focused on cloud computing and IT infrastructure with an innovative formula combines a group of independent, insightful and well-recognized bloggers with disruptive technology vendors and end users who manage rich technology environments.
