TECHunplugged Chicago is happening in less than ten days (on 27th Of October), the agenda is complete and we working on the details to repeat the success of last editions!

First of all, in case you missed it, TECHunplugged is a 1-day conference focused on the latest technology trends and how these technologies can be adopted by Real World IT. The format is very simple, with subject matter experts presenting what they see in the field followed by vendors bringing their point of view. The goal is to bring together end users, influencers and vendors for a day of education, information and peer-to-peer networking.

Meet our influencers!

cwc-020814The influencer line-up for this TECHunplugged edition is amazing and this week we will be introducing Chris Ciborowski.

Chris Ciborowski is the CEO and Co-founder of Nebulaworks (  Over his 20 years in IT, he has held roles ranging from UNIX sysadmin (go Solaris!) to CTO and is now helping the enterprise innovate and deliver better software with DevOps.  Chris is at home collaborating with technologists and stake holders, creatively addressing the divide between business demands and IT.  If he’s not at the beach with his wife and two girls, he’ll be at the race track perfecting his driving line.

Chris will be talking about containers! Here the abstract from the agenda:

“Prior to Docker Engine 1.12 developing a production container orchestration environment required no less than five separate tools in addition to the Docker engine itself. These had to be integrated together in order to provide a scalable platform that would support launching of containers and provide automatic service discovery. With the release of Docker Engine 1.12, this has all changed. In this presentation, Chris Ciborowski will cover how he and his team had built platforms in the past, covering the tools and integration points – and how today it can be replaced by running “docker swarm init/join”.”
