This week, my last work as an independent analyst was finally published. The title is: “Sector Roadmap: Object storage for enterprise capacity-driven workloads“.

It was completed in December, before knowing I was going to join OpenIO. But It took some time to see the light because of Gigaom’s publishing schedule.

It’s about Object Storage (of course, what else could it be about? 😉 ), but it’s not about webscale installations or S3. It covers traditional enterprises, how they use object stores, and the trends for use cases that are surfacing right now in these types of organisations.

I put a lot of effort into it. It’s 30+ pages long, but I tried to write it in a way that goes beyond the raw market analysis and the product landscape, adding what I think are useful information and insights about companies and technology.

You can find it here at Gigaom.com.
